Palo Alto Photographer - Creative Bridal Shoot with Annmari
When wedding season slows down for me, I like to get with local wedding vendors/talents to create photos that I've envisioned in my head. This required some planning, first I contact Annmari who I have photographed once before to see if she would be interested in modeling for this shoot, luckily she was available! From there I contacted our florist Jenny, dress rental company AtRomance and our makeup and hair artist. Our original makeup and hair artist had a last-minute conflict with the schedule , luckily Ray Chang from Taiwan was here for a pre-wedding photoshoot and was staying in the bay area for a few more days. I was lucky he was available to fill-in as our makeup and hair artist.
A few days before the photoshoot, Annmari and I went to AtRomance to pick out the perfect dress for this shoot. We decided on a two piece long sleeve wedding dress because we wanted something unique and elegant at the same time. One of our location of this photo shoot was at a cactus garden in Palo Alto, the gorgeous two-piece dress looked amazing with the rough cactus background, it brought out the elegance I was looking for very well. Annmari's makeup was earthy-tone with a hint of brick-red eyeshadows for a nice contrast with the mostly green backdrop. I wanted her hair in a loose low bun for softness and again elegance. Jenny did an awesome job at the bouquet, I love the yellow/orange peeking out of the greens.
We also had Ocean from Ocean video tutorial with us for a nice behind the scene video of how and why we do stylized photo shoots. Cameron and Heather from Ch Wedding Cinema doing film photography. I can't wait to see their work!
Below are the photos I took that day, I hope you will enjoy looking at. Stay until the end of the post for behind the scene photos and videos!
