Korean First Birthday Celebration - Senah
Senah's first birthday was full of fun! Ahnah got Senah three different outfits, one made her look like a beautiful princess with tulle, lace and a pretty flower crown. Her second outfit was the traditional Hanbok, full of bright colors. Senah's last outfit was the cutest piggy outfit. The party theme was inspired by the Mo Willems book, The elephant and piggie series, so it made perfect sense for Senah's last piggie outfit!
Some facts I found online regarding the Korean's first birthday celebration:
The first birthday of a child has a great significance in Korean tradition. The mortality rates of babies were extremely high due to lack of medical information, seasonal temperature changes, diseases and etc. Many babies died before their first birthday. So when a baby turned one, the whole village used to celebrate with lots of food and drinks. It is also a custom to celebrate baby’s 100th day but it’s less important than the dol.-https://lanieinkorea.net/2013/11/04/doljanchi-%EB%8F%8C%EC%9E%94%EC%B9%98-korean-first-birthday-celebration-2/
Guests are greeted with the Dol table with beautiful cakes, flowers, Senah's pictures from since she was born, and many more. The rice cakes are traditionally served at parties and celebrations.

Prayers for baby Senah.
Time to predict Senah's future! What will she be when she grew up? A judge? an investor? a singer?
Looks like Senah is going to be loving music!
