San Francisco Fairmont Hotel Wedding - Michelle Chang Photography

Another beautiful wedding in 2018 at the historical San Francisco Fairmont Hotel. This time I had the opportunity to second photographing for Joe from Joe Kim Studio. I started my wedding photography journey from assisting to second shooting and eventually booking my own clients. Even though I’m booking my own clients now, I still enjoy second shooting on days when I don’t have clients, because it’s a time that’s without too much stress and allow me to be creative. Plus I love to hang out with the family and friends at weddings, I always want to make sure they get photographed for the bride and groom because how often can we get these family and friends together, right?

Let’s get back to the beautiful wedding, this wedding is extra special because Jiwon and Dennis have been friends with my boyfriend Brian for a long time. We’ve been on many hiking trips, dinner dates together, we’ve seen their relationship grow from dating to having their adorable son and now finally the wedding. It was a pleasure to be invited as a guest and also document the day.

There are many things I loved about the wedding, first of all it’s in the San Francisco Fairmont Hotel, it’s always nice to photograph a wedding there, because it’s just so classic and elegant. I loved Jiwon’s stunning dress from Kinsley James Counture Bridal . It’s low cut in the back with train but it wasn’t too heavy, so Jiwon was walking in the dress effortlessly. I think it is so important to choose a dress that’s going to be comfortable for you, because when you feel good, you look good!

The highlight of the wedding had to be Jiwon and Dennis’ son. He was a happy baby through out the day, everyone can’t help but smile when they see him in the cutest baby tux!
